Hi five of me...
71Recently I came across a hubpage by subseven titled “The Top 5 Must See Tourist Places in Chhattisgarh, India”. This inspired me to think of my favourite five – places, people, acts and deeds!
I put mind to rest, and gave five minutes to think of all the good things that had happened to me.
The first thing that strikes me was that being a Muslim, I must first fulfil the 5-obligatory duties. Islam stands on five pillars...
- Testify Allah’s oneness and Muhammad (PBUH) as His prophet
- Pray five times a day
- Fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan
- Pay zakat annually
- Offer pilgrimage to Mecca on Hajj at least once in a life time.
Here are other, Top 5 things that I can relate to in my life. And of course I invite you to add your Top Five in the space provided at the end of this HubPage (Click here to go there directly)
Places – Top five cities/towns I have lived.

Top Five Actors (Hindi)
Once I was movies starring Dilip Kumar. If the history of Indian cinema is written, then they would history before and after Dilip Kumar. Once if a newcomer has to enter Hindi filmdom, then he must copy Dilip Saab’s style. Later as I was growing up I enjoyed Amitabh’s movies. Later Aamir Khan joined my list. At first I hated Salman Khan. Now he is one of the favourite. And yes, Govinda is one more favourite of mine, though most of my friends would laugh at my choice of the 5th Actor.
- Dilip Kumar
- Amitabh Bacchan
- Aamir Khan
- Salman Khan
- (yes, yes) Govinda
Top Five Actors (South India)
I have not included Shivaji and MGR – once my favourite actors. But since both are no more, I have left alone. After these two legends of Tamil film industry, Rajni and Kamal dominated the industry. Then came the duo Vijay and Ajit. I don’t follow Ajit, though he is quite popular in Tamil movies.
- Rajnikant
- Vijay
- Surya
- Kamal Hasan
- Mahesh Babu
Favourite Five Actresses
It is not a difficult choice to select the best of 5 heroines from Indian film industry. Hema Malini is one actress who can be called a true Dream Girl. Yeah, in my list of my favourite five actress, Aishwarya, Katrina, Bipasha etc are missing. But they are missing because my favourite are only the following 5.
- Madhubala
- Hema Malini
- Sridevi
- Madhuri Dixit
- Karisma Kapoor
Top 5 Hindi Movies
I like comedy movies. Serious one are definite no, no for me. Amongst the old movies, it was Padosan (Mehamood productions, 1968) I enjoyed the most. A wonderful movie. Then the most entertaining movies are from Rajkumar Hirani – that include 3 idiots, and Munna Bhai series. I am a great fan of Hema Malini. I have seen Sita Aur Geeta 6 times on 6 consecutive days.
- Padosan (1968)
- 3 Idiots (2009)
- Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006)
- Sita Aur Geeta (1972)
- Aankhen (1993)
There are lot more I wanted to add here. The list is growing. Perhaps, I will write more hubpages on Top 5 series.
I invite all of you to include Hi 5 in your life, be it celebrities, or family members in the space provided below (at the end of this hub).

- Mera Gaav Bahirwali (An essay about My Village Bahirwali)
It is like I am writing an English essay as my homework. Mr. Editor is my teacher and I am his student. Anyway I had never thought I would write something on my village. The name of my village is “Bahirwali”. It may sound something different. There is reason why my ancestors had named this village Bahirwali. Many, many years back my village was called “Chouglewadi” because everybody who lived in there had Chougle as their surnames - 7 months ago
